Michol A Cooper, MD, PhD, is an associate professor, multimission track, in the division of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr Cooper earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, where she completed her studies as the youngest graduate in her class at the age of 17. She then went on to complete her master's of science degree and doctorate degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan, where her research team was among the pioneers in the use of high-intensity focused ultrasound for treatment of soft tissue tumors. After completing her PhD, she earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati.
