Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: In graduate school, I was very fortunate to participate in a service trip to Morocco to care for people in small villages who did not have access to the health care they desperately needed. I was eager to join a field where I can combine my passion for medicine and my desire to serve the public. Any profession in medicine requires a unique commitment to putting the service of others first, which I have always been passionate about. I also like the fact that the medical field is intriguing and always changing. The best thing about being a physician assistant is we are lifetime learners.
