Pablo Serrano Rodriguez, MD, FACS, is an assistant professor of surgery and surgical director of the pancreas transplant program. He specializes in abdominal organ transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Dr Serrano is originally from Mexico and received his medical degree from Universidad Anahuac. He completed his general surgery residency at PEMEX hospital in Mexico City before completing a transplant and hepatobiliary fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. He was most recently the director of pancreas transplantation in addition to being the founder and director of the Latino transplant clinic at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
