I am director of the University of Florida Health Ascension Sacred Heart Adult Kidney Transplant Program and a clinical associate professor in the UF Division of Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery. Prior to joining UF Health, I served as an associate professor of surgery and transplantation at the University of Virginia. There, I performed kidney and pancreas transplants and was part of the organ procurement team, where I assisted with multi-organ retrievals. I earned my medical degree from Hacettepe University Medical School and completed a general surgery residency at Gazi University, both in Ankara, Turkey.
