Dr McKirnan's parents always encouraged their daughters to pursue their dreams. After breaking her ankle, having surgery and subsequently getting to shadow her surgeon, the dream to become a doctor was instilled. She chose obstetrics and gynecology as her specialty because it combined the surgical aspects she loved with the opportunity to connect with patients in a long-term relationship. She loves delivering babies and finds it rewarding to share that special time with families. Dr McKirnan sees women from adolescence through menopause for all obstetric and gynecologic concerns, including annual exams, prenatal/delivery/postnatal care, robotic surgery and contraception management.
