The Care He Got There Was A Disgrace Left In His Bed Not Being Changed They Had Another Patient In His Room That Was Very Sick With A Grave Contagious Repertory Flu Doctors Didn't Care At All About Any Rehab To The Patients "All About Money Here" Milking The Insurance Dry My Dad Got A Fatal Pressure Wound Which Was Fatal
And The Hospital Never Told The Family About This We Found Out When He Was Transferred To A Local Hospital And Was In The ICU The Doctors There Told Us Do Not Send Him Back To Mount Sinai Hospital In Stoughton Under Any Circumstances The Nursing Staff Didn't Care And Was Rude This Facility Will Be Closed Down Eventually For Negligent Homicide Which Is Murder

I would have zero stars if I could! Sinai is a nightmare of a facility. My Mom, who was elderly, was not able to get the proper care. It was a battle with the staff to get the proper care on a day to day basis. Sheila, the nurse practitioner is not qualified for her job. My Mom needed Lasix for fluid retention in her legs, for example, it would take constant pushing to get any coordinated response with the Doctors. This was because there was no good coordination. There were different Doctors on each day, and they never had the full picture of my Moms' condition. One morning, a doctor, asked my Mom if she had her breakfast. There is a big sign above her bed that read PTO. I had to tell the Doctor that my Mom was on a tube feed! Her last day she had alot of pain. We were told that they wouldn't order pain killers because they would probably be stolen by a staff member before reaching its' destination! I guess Sinai employs drug addicts! My sister, who is a MD herself, worked tirelessly to get things working with the staff, and was only met constantly with road blocks! She had to call an ambulance herself, which we paid for, to get my Mom to her surgeon in Plymouth, because my Mom had a blockage in her ileostomy site! My sister, the MD, worked all day and got nowhere with the staff!

There does not seem to be any real "top down" management at all. Is there anybody in mangement who is monitoring how this operation works? My impression is that, Sinai, is quite comfortable with collecting their money from Medicare, and providing below standard care.

I myself, was at this facility, watching out for my Mom, and helping. I stayed over Saturday night December 9, 2017. On Sunday morning, December 10, at 8:15am, I went to the desk to ask for the lift, to help my Mom get into the wheel chair to be able to wheel her about and sit in the sun in the lobby. One of the nurses told me very loudly that that wouldn't happen because they had to take patient "vitals". I said fine and waited. I went to the coffee station across from the desk and watched for awhile as that nurse was talking very loudly across the desk to another staff member about her childs' birthday party. That went on for awhile. I guess she really wasn't taking any patients' vitals after all. I went back now to the desk at 10am, to ask about the lift, and I got another loud lecture about how I couldn't because they were short on staff etc. So finally I asked "When could we get the lift? Give me a time and we will be ready!" Then a nurse supervisor stepped in (long blond hair) and said that she would take care of getting the lift and she did. Do you really allow your staff to yell at and lecture patients and families? Have you forgotten that you are "serving patients needs for care"? Do some of these nurses really have the capability of communicating with people. I think you should review that!

The wing, where my Mom was housed, had a blaring, and I mean blaring monitor mounted in the hallway right outside her door. It blared day and night. When asked about it to the staff, they would just skirt around the subject and tell us that there was nothing they could do about it. It was mostly ignored by the staff as they chatted and gossiped often in the hallways. What a joke! Seems like a scene from "one flew over the cukoos nest". This blaring makes that wing virtually unfit for human existence. Hear me now...UNFIT FOR HUMAN EXISTENCE.

I wanted to wash my Moms' hair but was told that the "board" couldn't be located. Finally my husband stood at the desk and started asking for and writing down the Board Member names before someone finally "produced" the board.

There was was one staff member: Alicia the CNA who should be commended and held as an example to the other staff of what conscientious and hard work is. She was always working hard and problem solving..always moving she was! I think that the Management at New England Sinai needs to review its' staff and its' policies. Your service is substandard. You have people in positions that are unqualified. My Mothers' life was valuable.
