Dr Kendall himself is very nice & listens, but his staff is rude, unfriendly & unreliable. Extremely long wait times, as much as an hour 1/2 before being called to exam room, then another 20-30 minutes waiting on the doctor. Not only this, but I've had to call them several times because a prescription was not sent to the drugstore as promised. And when I call, the staff is unhelpful & there is no follow through from them, I've had to call several times.
Also, their new policy is to charge for appointment no shows. I rescheduled an appointment 2 hours before the time of appointment, due to a urgent conference call I was roped into, at my job. I called them to reschedule (did not cancel).
I called them again today to schedule an earlier appointment, for another matter & was promptly told I owe a $30 charge for a no show appointment, which is completely wrong & I do not owe for a no show appointment, it was a reschedule, regardless if less than 24 hours in advance, I couldn't help that.
However, when I addressed this with the staff person, she basically in so many words called me a liar, that the charge was there, so it was considered a no show. This is infuriating, especially when the wait times are anywhere from 45 minutes to hour 1/2 before being called into an exam room & then another 20-30 minutes waiting on the doctor.
Apparently the doctor & his staff's time is more valuable than mine. I've requested Dr. Kendall to call me, but I doubt his staff even gives him the message.
I do not recommend this doctor, his staff is running off his patients with their rudeness, bad attitude & lack of customer focus. And don't even try to reason with Trudy the office manager, as her response will be, it's office policy & she's also rude & nasty. So if reschedule less than 24 hours in advance, REGARDLESS of the reason, they will charge you the office fee.
I will find another doctor, as the rudeness & bad attitude & lack of customer focus, from the office staff over the last year or so, is not worth it.
Update on 2-6-18
I needed a refill of blood pressure medication & requested it 3 weeks earlier but Dr. Kendall was not responding to OptumRX. I get a call a couple weeks later from Dr. Kendall's staff telling me I need to schedule an appointment (it had been 2 or 3 months since I was last there). When I asked why, the person was unable to answer why. I went ahead & set an appointment for 4:45. However I was still sick that morning & called the office at 8:24am that same day & rescheduled the appointment. Trudy the office manager called me & told me that I owed a $30 no show fee & she would not allow a refill of the prescription until I came in & saw the doctor & paid the $30 fee. When I asked her to confirm she was diagnosing me as a doctor as to what I needed medically, she accused me of threatening her. It was no threat, just a simple question. After this, she reluctantly agreed to call in a prescription for the blood pressure meds. By the way, today was the last pill I had left. I now find it difficult to even rate this doctor's office a one star. Also Trudy the office manager informed me, I was not a customer, but a patient. As well, I've found a new doctor & have an appointment with them later this month. I am dropping Dr. Kendall like a bad habit. I should have heeded the negative reviews when I first started looking for a doctor in this area......lesson learned.
