Respite Care: Short Term Relief for the Caregiving Family Member

The family member who is the primary caregiver to an aging parent or family member with a disability must occasionally have a break to recoup physically, spiritually and emotionally. You must take time out for yourself! Psychological studies show that not taking a break leads toward bitterness, negativity and possibly anger within the family member who privides the care towards his/her siblings and possibly the parent receiving the care.
